Night fishing With A Malaysian kaki !!!

Hi John,

Had hell of a good time last night after not doing any mekong fighting for more than a month.
Muscle abit aching already.......
Anyways........Thank You so much for the tips and help that you gave last night......
I used to think that in fishing, its 50:50 luck and tactic ratio and to have seen what you did last night.......it sure proves that its more tactic than luck...=)
Once again mate, thanks for the tips and the time spent together....

Mekong Catfish & Siamese Carp Baits !!!

Method 2.

If you guy went over to BSR, you can choose to use bread baits for your mekong fishing. That's for those who not so familiar with chicken feeding baits.

1)Standby 3 pails.
1 pail to put your bread bait, 1 pail is to pour the coconut milk to mix with pond water and 1 pail is to wash your hand.

2)Coconut milk.

3)Over at BSR, the most common use is this silver pack which thai call it 'porki' which cost you 50 bahts/pack.

4)Tear the porki and pour them all in plus little amount of coconut milk +water.

5)This is how the dough bait should look like after mixing.

Mekong dough baits

I think I wrote them before but now I would like to conclude all the common mekong recipes + methods use in mekong fishing.
Afterall, mekong fishing is still my all time favorite fishing.

Method 1
Dough baits + additive.
1.Put about 5kg of old bread into the bread grinder to turn them into powder form.
2.After grinding, this is what it should look like.
3.Standby the flavoring additive + coconut milk.
For additive can be pandan, butter milk or any other flavoring you find in your local provision shop. For me, I always use butter milk. Coconut milk is a must for this case. The brown item in the plastic bag is the sugar paste which thai use in their som tam (papaya pop pop). If you cannot find them, you can use rock sugar . As long it is sweet base, it ok.
4.Then add all in.
5.After mixing, push all into the grinder hole.
6.This is what is the end result after grinding.
7.After that, pack them into plastic bag of 2kg each.
Seal it up tightly and keep it for 4 days for best results.
